He looked up at Kurama confused.
She looked back, obviously thinking that Kurama thought she had to challenge Isuno or something. In all reality, this part had nothing to do with Isuno.

Kurama stared at Hiei and waited for his directions.
Hiei grunted and folded his arms across his chest as he closed his eyes. The Jagan hidden beneath his bandana began to glow and he searched out for Isuno's location.

She waited for Hiei to say he couldn't find Isuno. She knew he used what little of the energy he stole from her to create a stronger barrier so they couldn't find him.

Kurama looked at him. "Well?" he asked.
"He isn't letting out much of his energy," Hiei answered. "My Jagan cannot find him."

"Can we hurry this up? It's cold," Yusuke complained.
Namie nodded and she started off deeper into the forest. It was pretty desolate due to the fact it was so cold, but as they went deeper, the trees actually began to get leaves; they had adapted to the cold weather. She noticed the tree where her mother had left her, but she quickly looked away from it and kept going.
